The Rashtrapati Bhavan announced that President Ram Nath Kovind would undergo scheduled bypass surgery at AIIMS on Tuesday and that his health is stable.

Following chest pain on Friday morning, the president, 75, had a health checkup at the military hospital.
President Kovind was referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi by the Army Research and Referral Hospital earlier on Saturday for further inquiry into his health status.
Since yesterday, President Kovind has been under observation at the hospital with chest comfort.
