Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to take final call of inducting Prashant Kishore in the party.

The political strategist Prashant Kishor met top Congress leaders on Monday in Delhi.

Kishor made his presentation before the party leaders suggesting for change the current organizational set up.

Kishor held a five hour long meeting with top Congress leaders including Randeep Surjewala, Jairam Ramesh and KC Venugopal, the party sources said.

His meeting with the Congress leaders for second time within three days amid speculations of his joining the party before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The sources said the meeting is being held to chalk out a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections this was the second meeting held by Congress with him earlier he met on Saturday last.

The final decision is left on Congress president about his role, whether he will joint the party or act as strategist for the coming Lok Sabha and other assembly elections, the sources said.

The party sources are hopeful of Kishor might join the party and there is least possibility of his being asked to act as consultant as stress is on to induct him in party given he had already made a representation about the roadmap of the Congress for organizational changes required for the coming elections may be the parliamentary or state assembly elections.

The  party sources said Kishor has clearly mentioned for having alliance in states where the Congress is not in power while in states where it is in power it may go alone.

The Congress need strengthening the public contact network through social media and other modes this require overhaul in the present policy.

The final decision is left on Congress president about his role, whether he will joint the party or act as strategist for the coming Lok Sabha and other assembly elections, the sources said.
