Prime Minister Narendra Modi, honoured potter Anita Prajapati in New Delhi on the occasion of the launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the International Exhibition Center Yashobhoomi.
The Prime Minister launched the tag line, logo and portal of PM Vishwakarma Yojana and released 18 postage stamps and tool-kit booklets focusing on 18 forms of craftsmanship.
The Prime Minister honoured artisans associated with 18 disciplines by giving them certificates.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in this grand programme organized on the birthday of the Prime Minister virtually from Bhopal. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was also present in the programme held at Ravindra Bhawan in Bhopal.
Prime Minister Shri Modi is the creator of new India
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that the one who creates and performs deeds in the world, he is Vishwakarma.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born on Vishwakarma Jayanti and he is building a new India. I wish that Prime Minister Modi remains healthy and brings fame to India.
Modi is the most recognised leader of the world, he has established India as a strong, capable, prosperous and flourishing nation on the world stage and has made it a high performing nation. In the third term of the Prime Minister, India will be the third largest economy in the world.
Chief Minister Chouhan also honoured the ITI passed trainees in the state level second convocation ceremony in the programme held at Ravindra Bhawan.
Chief Minister Chouhan also visited the exhibition. Sports and Youth Welfare and Technical Education Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha were also present.
Prime Minister’s initiative made India world’s 5th largest economy
Chief Minister Chouhan said that due to Prime Minister Modi’s campaigns like Make in India, Skill India, Digital India, Vocal for Local, India has become the 5th largest economy of the world. We are the world leaders in digital transactions. The successful event of G-20 has increased India’s impact in the world. Our tricolour flies high in the space too through Chandrayaan and Aditya L-1.
In an pandemic like Corona, free vaccine was made available to Indians as well as many countries of the world. Highways, expressways are being built in the country at a record pace and rivers are being linked. Soon the construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya will also be completed. Prime Minister Shri Modi deserves congratulations and best wishes for all these achievements.
Artisans are our modern Vishwakarma
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the artisans of the country are modern Vishwakarmas for us.
Prime Minister Modi has today implemented Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana for the welfare of artisians. Under the scheme, work is underway to adapt the skill system of the country to the needs of the nation’s artisans. With this scheme our artisans will be able to scale their skills.
Addressing the ITI students of the state, the Chief Minister said that they are also modern Vishwakarmas. You will make an important contribution in the development of Madhya Pradesh and India in future. Every possible effort is being made to improve ITIs in the state. Soon the country’s most unique Global Skill Park will be ready in the state. The Chief Minister congratulated the trainees who passed ITI for their bright future.
Madhya Pradesh’s growth rate is highest in India
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier Madhya Pradesh was also a sick state, but I am proud to say that today the growth rate of Madhya Pradesh is the highest in India. The artisans engaged in construction and creation play an important role in this. These artisans are our modern Vishwakarmas. The creative power of Lord Vishwakarma is mentioned in the Vedas. According to the scriptures, Lord Vishwakarma created the universe. Being a Devshilpi, Lord Vishwakarma is also worshiped by people associated with machinery and industry. Our Vishwakarmas, be they carpenters, boat builders, blacksmiths, makers of hammers and tools, goldsmiths, potters, weapon makers, masons, leather workers, makers of baskets and mats, brooms, dolls, toy makers, barbers, washermen, tailors, fishing net makers, sculptors, all these are our modern Vishwakarmas, without them this world cannot function. For them, Prime Minister Modi is coming up with the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Modi for this.
Vishwakarma Yojana will be effective in transforming the lives of artisans: Union Minister Tomar
Union Minister Tomar said that PM Vishwakarma Yojana will prove effective in bringing changes in the lives of artisans. Prime Minister Modi’s work and personality have the capacity from caring for the rural poor to boosting India’s reputation in the world. Considering the large population of India, the problem of employment is natural but many people are getting employment through PM Gati Shakti, PM Swanidhi Yojana, Rural Development Institute, Mudra Yojana. Vishwakarma Yojana is based on Guru-disciple tradition. A provision of Rs 13 thousand crore has been made for the scheme. We are all grateful to Prime Minister Modi for this innovative initiative.
Chief Minister honoured 20 trainees
Chief Minister Chouhan also honoured the excellent performing ITI students of the state in the All India Handicraft Examination. A total of 20 trainees were honoured, including two first position students, Ankita of Betul, Sapna Kushwaha of Gwalior and two students, Vivek Sahu of Bhopal and Hemant Rathore of Gwalior.
Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana
Through this scheme, the skill system of the country is being adapted to the needs of the artisans of the nation. By taking advantage of the scheme, traditional artisans will be able to scale their skills. Through the scheme, by providing training and financial assistance to the skilled artisans and workers of every district, their skill, art and talent will be established at the national and international level.
Under the scheme, skill verification of craftsmen and artisans like carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths will be done at the district level. They will also be given training as per requirement. A stipend of Rs 500 will be given every day during the training. After training and skill verification, they will be given PM Vishwakarma certificate. Every beneficiary will be given Rs 15,000 for tool kit. Easy loan facility will be provided to start or expand their business. There is a provision for a collateral-free loan of Rs 1 lakh at the rate of 5% in the first phase, and a loan of Rs 3 lakh in the second phase. The minimum age of the artisan should be 18 years. The benefit of the scheme will be limited to one member of each family. Any person working in government service or his relatives will not be eligible.
ITI Convocation Ceremony 2023
There are 262 government ITIs and 757 private ITIs in the state. Special ITIs are also being run, which include 3 Jail, 2 Police, 9 Arm, 9 Tribal, 4 Eklavya and 2 Dr. Ambedkar ITIs.
Trainee in session 2022-23
There are 38 thousand 962 trainees in 262 government ITIs of the state. There are 40 thousand 719 trainees in 757 private ITIs of the state. 7 thousand 783 women and 226 Divyangjan have received training in the government ITIs of the state.
ITI Syllabus & Exams
Online examination of SCVT (State Council of Vocational Training) and online examination of NCVT (National Council of Vocational Training) are conducted.
In the year 2023, the number of successful trainees who completed training from ITI institutes of the state is 75 thousand 786, successful trainees of NCVT are 71 thousand 178 (exam result 84.81 percent) and successful trainees of SCVT are 4 thousand 603 (exam result 65.02 percent).
Work is being done to bridge the gap of demand and supply of skills by starting the Sikho-Kamao Yojana in the state. By taking advantage of this scheme, youth can further hone their industry skills along with earning 8 to 10 thousand rupees per month. Every year 6 thousand youth will become skilled in Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park in Bhopal. New Global Skill Parks will be set-up in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa.
Trades have been included in ITI institutes as per the demand of time, so that they are fit according to the market. Ten divisional ITIs have been made model ITIs. A total of 24 new ITIs have been opened. The government aims to have at least one ITI in every block.
On an average, 3 lakh new employment opportunities are being created every month through Employment Day. Self-employment loans worth more than Rs 1800 crore are being distributed every month. Every year, the government has helped about 60 thousand youth in getting employment in the private sector through employment fairs. Start-up Policy- 2022 has been implemented to promote start-ups.
