Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the holy place of Rewa will bring many gifts for Vindhya. His arrival is a fortunate for Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister should be given a historic welcome on the land of Vindhya as per tradition.

Chouhan reviewed the preparations for the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24 Panchayati Raj Day in Rewa at SAF ground and gave necessary instructions after meeting the officials.

Chouhan said that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the programme of National Panchayati Raj Day and address the panchayat representatives. The foundation stone of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme proposed at a cost of Rs 7 thousand crore will be laid by him. Along with this, he will attend griha pravesh of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and distribute benefits to the beneficiaries of ownership rights.

Chouhan said that a state-level exhibition and an exhibition focused on the achievements of Rewa district should be organized at the venue. Increase in irrigation capacity and production from Bansagar Dam, construction of road network and tunnels, solar power plant established in Gudh and White Tiger Safari, Basawan Mama gauvansh and Vanya Vihar should be displayed in the district level exhibition.

He inspected the stage arrangement, meeting arrangements being made for the general public, parking arrangements and arrangements from helipad to the programme venue etc. and gave necessary instructions. He expressed satisfaction over the preparations being made by the district administration.

Chouhan said that programmes of a large group of folk artists and dancers should also be organized in coordination with the Culture Department. Folk dances of different regions of Madhya Pradesh will give their performances and welcome the Prime Minister on his arrival.

He said that all panchayat representatives, women of self-help groups, Ladli Bahnas and beneficiaries of various government schemes should be invited on National Panchayat Day.

The Chief Minister said that this programme should be organized in coordination with all. People should be invited to the Prime Minister’s programme by offering them yellow rice in their houses in Rewa city. Along with this, the participation of intellectuals, voluntary organizations etc. should also be ensured.
