Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is a matter of happiness and joy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform bhoomi-pujan for the construction of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj’s temple at Sagar on August 12.

CM Chouhan gave this information in a discussion with media representatives after planting saplings in the garden located at Shyamla Hills.

CM Chouhan said that Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji was a wonderful saint. Saint Ravidas created a new history not only of devotion but also of service by adopting Indian culture and values of life and especially the feeling of “Siyaram Main Sab Jag Jaani”. Saint Ravidas ji, with wonderful messages of harmony and his feeling of service, such as “Aisa Chahun Raj Me Jahan Milai Saban Ko Anna-Chhot Bado Sab Sam Basai, Raidas Rahi Prasanna” and “Man Changa To Kathoti Mein Ganga”, “Prabhuji Tum Chandan Hum Pani-Jaki Ang-Ang Bas Samani”- Prabhu ji Tum Ghan Ban Hum Mora, Jaise Chitwan Chand Chakora- Prabhu Ji Tum Deepak Hum Baati-Jaki Joti Barai Din Rati”, he created a spirit through which many kings and queens became his disciples.

The Chief Minister said that Saint Ravidas was the forerunner of social harmony. The state government is going to build a grand memorial for him at Sagar. I had announced this intention on Saint Ravidas Jayanti, this announcement is now being realised. Five yatras are starting today from five different places of the state. Collecting village soil and river water and giving the message of social harmony, these yatras will reach Sagar. CM Shri Chouhan said that he will flag off the yatra from Singrauli. Along with Singrauli, these yatras are also starting from Dhar, Sheopur, Balaghat and Neemuch.
