Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Madhya Pradesh will be successful with public cooperation.
Efforts are being made to ensure maximum public participation in the campaign. Many organizations are joining the campaign in two big cities of the state, he said.
While a resolution has been taken to plant 51 lakh saplings in Indore district, 12 lakh saplings will be planted in a day at various places in the district including the capital Bhopal. As many as 12 thousand saplings will be planted in Bhopal district in honor of mothers.
The remaining saplings will also be planted at various public places. The work of planting trees under the campaign will be started on 6th July, the birth anniversary of nationalist thinker, educationist, and founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in Bhopal.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav sought information about the preparations for the campaign from public representatives and senior officials in a special meeting at Mantralaya on Thursday.
Give information about our heritage to students
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is commendable to connect the youth with the plantation campaign and tell them the importance of the environment. Work should also be done to connect the students with their heritage.
Bhopal District Tourism Council and other organizations should take students on trips to places of archaeological importance, science museums, and other museums.
Such vibrant efforts should be made in Bhopal so that the capital becomes a model and is discussed in other places.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave instructions to prepare a road map for the development of the district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that full cooperation should be taken from Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar, and other organizations for the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also gave instructions to organize a program with huge public participation in one place. He said that all technically necessary preparations for the plantation should be completed.
Action plan for plantation in Bhopal
About 350 sites have been selected for plantation in Bhopal. These mainly include Kaliyasot Dam, Adampur Khanti, Kirat Nagar, Kempa Plantation, Mughalia Kot, Samardha Jungle Range and Kalara Berasia.
The target is to plant saplings in a total area of 480 hectares. ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and “Green Festival” campaigns are also being promoted in Bhopal under the name “Ek Vriksh Bhopal Ke Naam”.
Extensive tree plantation will take place under this campaign. The capital will be decorated with lush green plants.
On July 6, under extensive plantation in Bhopal, 12 lakh saplings will be planted in one day. Every person will be connected with the tree plantation.
Along with Bhopal city, saplings will also be planted in the entire Bhopal district. The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is being implemented in the entire state.
In the meeting, Sports, Youth Welfare, and Cooperatives Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, Mayor of Bhopal Smt. Malti Rai, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, MLA Shri Vishnu Khatri and representatives of various organizations were present.
