Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that our Datia is remarkable, here the grace of Maa Pitambara, showers on the whole of Madhya Pradesh. By her grace a grand Pitambara Maai Mahalok will be developed in Datia.
The Chief Minister said that the wish of Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra and Datia residents to build Mahalok on this holy land will be fulfilled soon.
Chouhan participated in Maa Pitambara Prakatya Mahotsav and Gaurav Diwas in Datia monday. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Minister in-charge of the district Suresh Dhakad specially took part. Maa Pitambara’s grand Rath Yatra was taken out through various routes of the city on Gaurav Divas. All the guests pulled the rath by participating in the Rath Yatra. The Rath Yatra was welcomed with shower of flowers at various places.
Chouhan said that the event organized on the Prakatya Mahotsav of Pitambara Maai in Datia is historic as well as wonderful. There is an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm all around in Datia. Devotees from not only Datia but also from the state and the country participated in it with devotion and made the atmosphere supernatural. People all around have added to the grandeur of the festival by wearing yellow clothes.
The Chief Minister said that Home Minister Dr. Mishra, along with Trust President, scholars and seers should prepare an action plan for the construction of Maai Mahalok. Work will be started soon as per the work plan.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that there will be no shortage of funds in the development of Datia. He said that at one time the budget of Madhya Pradesh used to be only Rs 21 thousand crores. Today, with the grace of Maai, the budget of the state has become Rs 3 lakh 14 thousand crore.
The Chief Minister said that he will discuss with the Central Government to develop Datia’s airstrip as an airport, so that pilgrims can easily get air facility to come to Datia. While bowing down at the feet of Maai, he wished for the development of the state and the welfare of the people of the state.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Trust President Vasundhara Raje Scindia said that with the grace of Maa Pitambara and blessings of Guruji, Datia is continuously marching ahead on the path of progress. The state government has also left no stone unturned in the development of Datia. She said that with the grace of Maai, many festivals have started in Datia. Along with this, people are getting an opportunity to immerse themselves in devotion by organising many Kathas. She said that this is the second year of the Praktya Mahotsav of Maa Pitambara Maai. Large numbers of people are participating with enthusiasm and fervour. Work will be done to give it more grandeur in the coming years.
Home Minister Dr. Mishra said that Datia has now become a city of festivals. Festivals and Kathas are being organised here throughout the year. Every citizen of Datia district is also celebrating a grand and divine event of Maa Pitambara Maai’s Praktya Mahotsav in Datia with enthusiasm and zeal. With the grace of Maai, many works of development have been done in Datia. The identity of Datia has been boosted not only in the state but also in the country.
He said that people have voluntarily made all the hotels and all the gardens free of cost on the occasion of Maai Praktya Mahotsav. Along with this, food arrangements are also being made available through bhandaras at many places. On the eve of Praktya Mahotsav, 31 thousand lamps were lit in Pitambara Maai temple and the festival was celebrated by lighting lamps in every house of Datia.

Flowers were also showered from the helicopter on the devotees gathered on the occasion of Praktya Mahotsav. A large number of people enjoyed Praktya Mahotsav and Datia Gaurav Utsav with zeal and enthusiasm.

Rath Yatra was started from the temple on Praktya Mahotsav. This Rath Yatra of Pitambara Maai reached the stadium through various routes of the city. People all along the way welcomed the yatra with shower of flowers. During this, public representatives, devotees and a large number of citizens were present.
