A first of its kind initiative giving priority to the safety of women, Pink Alarm is a unique innovation has been done in Datia District Hospital cum Medical College. Pink alarms have been installed at 7 places in 3 buildings of the district hospital, so that women doctors and nursing staff can get a safe environment during duty.

It is noteworthy that this is the first district hospital in the state where the initiative of pink alarm has been taken under the guidance of District Collector Sandeep Kumar Makin

The purpose of this innovation is to ensure that women can get quick police assistance when needed.

If any woman feels threatened in the hospital premises, she can press the alarm button, which will immediately sound a siren on the roof of the building.

Along with this, the guards and policemen posted in the hospital will reach the concerned staff within 5 minutes.

Civil Surgeon cum Hospital Superintendent Dr. K.C. Rathore said that pink alarms have been installed in the staff duty rooms of the maternity ward, trauma center and all three floors of the new OPD block.

The range of this alarm system is up to 2 kilometers, which will ensure immediate security assistance in the entire campus.

The initiative facility has been done for the first time in a district hospital in the state.

In the coming days, a mock drill of the alarm system will be conducted jointly by the administrative and police officials to check its effectiveness.
