Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the happiness and sorrow of the people is mine too. I am working day and night for the welfare of the people in the state. Mahayagya of development is being conducted in the entire state under Vikas Parv. Foundation stones are being laid and bhoomi-pujans are being performed for many construction and development works. Facilities are being expanded for roads, electricity, drinking water, water for irrigation and various schemes.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Vikas Parv programme at Chakaldi.
The Chief Minister dedicated /performed bhoomi-pujan of development works worth more than 81 crores in Chakaldi and announced to open a college in Chakaldi. He also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier production was less due to lack of irrigation system. Farmers had to face many problems in farming. Now the work of providing water to every farmer’s field is being done through many irrigation projects. Patatlai Lift Irrigation Scheme dedicated today in Chakaldi will provide water for irrigation to the fields of villages like Patatlai, Amirganj and Palaspani and 889 hectares of agricultural land under 661 farmers of the three villages will be irrigated.
The Chief Minister said that bhoomi-pujan has also been done for Jamonia and Chatarkota irrigation schemes today. Gradually, through various irrigation schemes, water will be supplied to every farmer’s field for irrigation. Earlier many problems had to be faced even for drinking water. Now the water of Narmada is being delivered to the houses.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that at one point of time there were no roads to reach this entire area. It used to take a whole day to travel anywhere. It was unimaginable for the public that good roads would be built here. Now a network of magnificent roads has been spread all around. Bhoomi pujan has been done for many roads. Farm roads will also be made.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that revolution is taking place in the state in the agriculture sector. Farmers are growing three crops in a year. Moong procurement work is going on in the state. Under the Kisan-Kalyan Yojana, the smallest farmer is getting an amount of Rs 12,000 in a year. The previous government had imposed loans on the farmers, which was paid off. The agricultural production has increased in our government and the economic condition of the farmers has strengthened. Crop loan, which was available to farmers at 18 percent interest, is now being given at zero percent interest.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier due to lack of money, the women had to face many difficulties in meeting the needs of the children and the household. Now with the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, women are now able to fulfill their small needs. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs one thousand is being deposited in the accounts of the women. This amount will be gradually increased to Rs.3000.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that earlier when I was an MLA, I along with my colleagues used to arrange for the wedding of daughters. Today, marriages of many daughters of the state are being conducted with great pomp under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana. On the purchase of a house, shop or farm in the name of sister, daughter and wife, one per cent stamp duty is charged in the registry, while three per cent on purchase in the name of a man. 30 percent reservation is being given to women in police recruitment also. Under the Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana, the elderly are being taken on pilgrimage by flight.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that poor women had to go to work after giving birth. In Sambal Yojana, the government gives an amount of Rs. 4000 to the mother before the birth of the child and Rs.12000 after the birth, so that she does not have to go to work immediately. She can take care of her children very well. Due to reservation for women in local elections, today many of our sisters are serving the public. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to reserve half the seats for women in local body elections.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with training, Rs 8 to 10 thousand stipend will also be provided to the youths learning work in various fields under the Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana. Registration is being done for the youths who want to learn work and the institutions that teach work under the scheme. Simultaneously, the state government will pay the entire fees on admission of students in medical and engineering colleges and higher educational institutions so that the children of the poor, farmers and middle-class families do not face any difficulties in getting higher education.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that an amount of Rs 4500 will be deposited in the accounts of the students who go from their village to another village for education after they passing 5th class and go in the 6th class and after passing 8th class reach the 9th. ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ are being operated continuously so that sons and daughters can prepare for competitive examinations in a better way. It has also been decided to increase the amount of old age pension from Rs.600 to Rs.1000.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Chakaldi is the centre of numerous nearby rural areas. It has been announced to open a college in Chakaldi so that sons and daughters of the area do not have to go far for college. Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat and Member of Parliament Ramakant Bhargava also addressed.
Visits Mega Health Camp
Chief Minister Chouhan visited the Mukhyamantri Mega Health Camp at Chakaldi.
The Chief Minister asked the doctors to ensure that the patients suffering from serious illness are admitted to the hospitals for treatment after medical examination of the patients coming to the camp. He discussed with Smt. Uma, Ranibai, Sarita, Sophia, who came to the camp and learnt about their well-being.
