Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said that it is a pro-people budget of the BJP’s popular state government. The path of development has been paved by including the interests of farmers, youth, women, poor sections and general public in a holistic manner, he was responding to the budget presented by the Madhya Pradesh government in the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday.

Tomar said that this budget will prove to be a milestone in the direction of fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to make the country self-reliant. Already, many public welfare schemes are being implemented well in the state, through which the entire state along with the general public is moving fast on the path of progress.

Many schemes are being run in mission mode, all this can be possible only in the BJP ruled government which always wants the development of the state and the country, he said.

Tomar said that while declaring the Chief Minister’s Ladli Bahna Yojana, provision of Rs.8 thousand crore is unprecedented. Tomar said that the MP government is engaged in doing only and only development work while keeping pace with the central government, which is certainly praiseworthy and is being reflected in the budget as well.

Tomar said that the provision made in the budget is important for the expansion of infrastructure, under which Rs. 1000 crore has been earmarked for the construction/renovationof rural roads and other district roads. More than Rs. 1,000 crore has been earmarked for strengthening the roads, provision has been made. Along with other similar provisions, Rs. 500 crore has been allocated for solar energy for irrigation and drinking water schemes. The provision for infrastructure development will develop the cities and villages of the state equally, he added.
