The AIMIM party declared on Sunday that it will contest for 100 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022 after a “good performance” in the Bihar Assembly elections. Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majils-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), announced that the party will contest in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in coalition with Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and Bhaagidaari Sankalp Morcha, a coalition of smaller parties.
