Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that voter slips have been distributed to more than 99 percent of the voters in the 6 parliamentary constituencies where voting is to be held in the first phase on April 19.

The voter slip has a QR code also.

In the first phase, voting will be held on April 19 in 6 parliamentary constituencies including Sidhi, Shahdol (ST), Jabalpur, Mandla (ST), Balaghat and Chhindwara.

The total number of voters here are one crore 13 lakh 9 thousand 638.

Of these, voter slips containing QR codes have been distributed to 1 crore 12 lakh 18 thousand 550 voters.

The distribution of voter slips has also started in the 7 parliamentary constituencies where voting is to be held in the second phase.

Voter information slips with QR code are being distributed to all the voters of the state.

Voters will be able to get important information like name, number, helpline number of their polling station, state and district through the voter information slip with QR code.

Meanwhile, Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election programme of Parliamentary Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the third phase is going on from April 12.

On Monday, the second day of filing nomination papers for the third phase, 15 candidates submitted 19 nomination papers. From April 12 till now, 27 nomination papers have been filed by 22 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan has said that on 15 April, 6 nomination papers were filed by 4 candidates in Parliamentary Constituency No. 3 Gwalior, 2 nomination papers were filed by 2 candidates in Parliamentary Constituency No. 5 Sagar, 1 nomination paper was filed by 1 candidate in Parliamentary Constituency No. 18 Vidisha, 4 nomination papers were filed by 3 candidates in Parliamentary Constituency Number-19 Bhopal and 6 nomination papers were filed by 5 candidates in Parliamentary Constituency Number-20 Rajgarh. No nomination papers were filed by any candidate in the remaining Parliamentary Constituency No. 1 Morena, Parliamentary Constituency No. 2 Bhind (SC) and Parliamentary Constituency No. 4 Guna. For parliamentary constituency no. 29 Betul, nomination is to be filed only by the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. No nomination papers have been received today in this parliamentary constituency.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the link of the website of Election Commission of India https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/.

He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is Friday, April 19.

The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on Saturday, April 20.

Candidates who have filled the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday 22 April.

Voting for the third phase will take place on Tuesday, May 7.

Counting of votes for all phases of voting will take place on Tuesday,
June 4.
