Mobile medical team conducts over 3.97 lakh pathology tests and provide medicine to 16.50 lakh patients in slums

Under the Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme, which aims to provide home access health facilities to the people living in slums of urban areas of Chhattisgarh state, 20 lakh 6 thousand 401 people have been provided free treatment by mobile medical team so far.

Under this, so far 28418 camps have been organized by the Mobile Medical Unit team in the slums of 169 urban bodies of the state and medicines have been given to the people after free examination and treatment.

It is worth mentioning that to provide health facilities to the people living in slums of 14 municipal corporation areas of the state, the first phase of Mukhyamantri Shahari Slum Health Scheme was started on 01 November 2020.

Under this, health check-up and treatment and drug distribution of people were started by going to slums by 60 mobile medical units.

In view of the success of this scheme by the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, on 31 March 2022, it was expanded to the urban body areas of the entire state and 60 more mobile medical units were started.

Under this scheme, doctors, paramedical teams, 120 mobile medical units equipped with medical equipment and medicines are now providing health facilities to the people in the slums of the urban areas of the entire state.

Under the Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme, so far 3 lakh 97 thousand 273 patients have been provided with the facility of pathology test and 16 lakh 49 thousand 927 patients have been given free medicines.

Among the patients benefited under this scheme, 2 lakh 29 thousand 991 patients are registered with the Labor Department.
