Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the authorities for launching intensive search operation to immediately identify foreign nationals living illegally in the state.
Action should also be taken against the landlords who did not inform the police about the tenant, he instructed.
Chouhan further directed to start an intensive investigation campaign against those possessing illegal arms and illegally manufacturing it.
He said that the associates of criminals involved in illegal activities and those who patronize such persons must be identified and strict action must be taken against them.
Singh issued the directions during a review meeting of the police department and to discuss on modernization project for police and crime control within span of two years.
Chouhan directed the authorities to terminate from service if any police personnel found indulged in activities related to illegal liquor and giving protection to such activities.
Also he directed for instant action against activities related to illegal liquor trade at micro level at village – localities level.
The authorities must monitor functioning of chit fund companies, unregistered investment firms, multi-level marketing companies and money lenders, he said.
A campaign must be launched to compile information at the police station level about money lenders, he said.
Chouhan appreciated the police for taking immediate action in cases related to girls and women crime in Indore, Ratlam, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Seoni, Rewa, Singrauli and Shahdol districts.
Such actions must continue in future too. Besides action against persons who suppress the girls, women and down-trodden in the society in the state.
In the meeting the chief minister was informed about action taken against mafia, strengthening of police station system, women security, scheduled caste and tribe welfare, law and order and anti-naxal operations, narcotics, cyber crime and security, police training, welfare activities and selection and recruitment and these issues were discussed in detail.
