New Delhi: Ustad Pooranchand Wadali’s younger brother Ustad Pyarelal Wadali has passed away due to heart attack. Let us tell you that Pyarelal Wadali was ill from a long time and he was admitted at Fortis Hospital in Amritsar on Thursday.
On Friday morning, due to a heart attack, Ustad Pyare Lal died. Significantly, the pair of Ustad Pooran Chand and Ustad Pyaare Lal are famous as Wadali Brothers in Bollywood and both of them have sung many Punjabi Sufi songs. Both of them have made their name in Bollywood films too.
Wadali brothers are from a village near Amritsar and both are known as Punjabi Sufi singers. Both started their career by singing different types of songs in Harballah Temple in Jalna in Punjab. Both used to sing Kaafyaan, ghazal and bhajan here.
In Bollywood music industry, they are known for songs such as “Ae Rangrez Mere” (Tanu Weds Manu) and “Ik Tuhee Tu” (Mausam). Both of them were like some great old poets like Bulle Shah, Kabir, Amir Khusro and Surdas.
