New Delhi. Now people will be able to enjoy mobile phones and internet in air travel. TRAI has given a suggestion on Friday about this, as per the availability of ground mobile network, the mobile service will be valid for a minimum of three kilometers in the Indian Air Services. However, the mobile operators who want to call or internet in the aircraft will have to get a separate license for this.
In fact, with the help of a special technology called Mobile Communication Service on Board Aircraft, it is easier to make calls from mobile phones or use data. With the help of 30 top airlines in the world, it has started offering call and nets to its passengers. TRAI has also said that internet service should be provided through Wi-Fi in flight when the electronic device is on flight mode. Also, the announcement should be made about it when all the passengers board the plane and the plane is ready to fly. Passengers in the country have to switch off the mobile phone during the flight.
