On Saturday (April 24), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there is no lack of medical oxygen in any of the COVID-19 hospitals, private or public.

Adityanath said during a virtual meeting with media staff that the issue is black marketing and medical resource hoarding. He also said that the state has an abundance of drugs such as Remdesivir.

According to the BJP official, the state government will perform an oxygen audit. “There is no lack of oxygen in any COVID facility, private or public.” The issue is black selling and hoarding, which would be dealt with harshly. We will perform an oxygen audit in coordination with IIT Kanpur, IIM Lucknow, and IIT BHU to ensure adequate oxygen control. The method of real-time monitoring of oxygen production, availability, and distribution will be introduced, according to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

Adityanath went on to say that oxygen is not in short supply as long as only the deprived use it. “Each contaminated patient does not need oxygen; support from the media is needed in raising awareness about this,” the UP CM was quoted.

“We have made plans for oxygen plants in government departments,” he said. This system was lacking in private institutions. The construction of 31 new oxygen plants, including 18 plants built on DRDO’s cutting-edge technologies, is currently underway.”

The saffron king, who had previously tested positive for COVID-19, stated that it would be a risk to dismiss the coronavirus as “natural fever.”

“It would be a big risk to dismiss corona as a typical viral fever.” It has also infected me. “I have been following all COVID protocols while in isolation since April 13,” he said.

According to an official release, Uttar Pradesh reported the largest single-day increase in new infections and coronavirus-related deaths on Saturday, with 38,055 new cases and 223 fatalities, bringing the virus count to 10,51,314 and the death toll to 10,959.
