Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the students of Madhya Pradesh are constantly demonstrating their talent. No hindrances come in the way of showcasing talent. Be it son or daughter, normal children or differently-abled, rich or poor, talented children have achieved success by breaking all barriers. Surely Madhya Pradesh can be proud of these students. Chouhan was addressing the interaction and Samman Samaroh organised for the youth of the state selected in the All India Civil Services (UPSC) and students of the merit list in the 10th and 12th board examinations at the new Rabindra Bhavan in Bhopal today.
Madhya Pradesh will not lag behind
Chouhan said that like daughters, now the sons who are toppers in higher secondary will also be given e-scooties. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan honoured the merit list students of class 10th and 12th as well as 53 students of the state selected in UPSC. Chief Minister said that in the year 2020, where only 38 students got selected in UPSC and 39 students in the year 2021, this year 53 students have achieved success. Now Madhya Pradesh will not lag behind. Chouhan congratulated all the selected students. While encouraging the enthusiasm of the students, Chouhan said that success is independent. If the goal is set and the resolution is strong, then the students make a roadmap and soar to heights with hard work.
Selection in UPSC is not a job it is a Yagya
Chouhan said that this is the most joyous moment for me and I want more number of students to be successful, so that I get an opportunity to reward the students. They have succeeded by the grace of the Gurus, compassion of God and hard work. The students selected in the Union Public Service Commission examination have come forward to change the lives of the people of the country. This is not just a job but a Yagya. I wish that these students become heroes by giving better service. The Chief Minister said that one should never be afraid of failure. Accept both success and failure. Turn failure into success.
Students must take care of their health also
Chouhan also urged the students to be serious about their health by citing examples of Gita’s shlokas and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. He told the students to adopt a balanced life, keep the body healthy by regular routine, increase concentration through meditation and yoga etc. and do their work with full devotion. The Chief Minister said that under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Yojana, arrangements have been made to provide tuition fees in medical, engineering, IIT, educational institutions to the students of economically weaker families whose annual income is less than Rs.8 lakh. Students should make their life meaningful and show it by doing better work. Chouhan also released the e-booklet.
Chouhan also interacted with successful students Shivam Yadav Datia, Sanskriti Somani Dhar, Gunjita Aggarwal Bhopal, Sneha Lodhi Narsinghpur, Anuj Thakur Narmadapuram and Anamika Ojha Bhopal. He also honoured two Divyang students Jatin and Arpita.
Students speak candidly to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan
Talented and successful students kept talking candidly for a long time in dialogue and felicitation ceremony with Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. UPSC selected Sushri Gunjita (AIR 26) said that she is very impressed with Chief Minister Chouhan’s talk of making Bhopal an intellectual capital. Sushri Sanskriti Somani said that she has been able to get All India Rank 49 while doing her preparations at Badnawar in Dhar district. She never had to face any power issues or internet problem. Shri Shivam Yadav (AIR 21) said that he did not prepare for UPSC from any institute, but on his own. Shri Anuj Thakur of Pawarkheda, who came in the merit list in the board examination, said that he owes his success to the facilities provided in CM Rise School and the inspiration received from Chief Minister Chouhan. The Faculty of Agriculture has been selected with the intention of working in the agriculture sector. Anamika Ojha of Bhopal said that the hope of getting a laptop from Shivraj Mama and the guidance of the teachers made her successful.
Students’ achievements at a glance
It was told that 19 lakh candidates appeared in class 10th and 12th board exams in the state. The class 10th exam result has been 63.29 percent and the class 12th exam result has been 54.28 percent. 254 students in class 10th and 182 students in class 12th have come in merit. Out of this, 202 girl students have secured position in merit. Among the 53 youths selected in UPSC, 32 are boys and 21 are girls.
