On Monday, the National Institute of Open Schooling announced that registrations for the Public Exam for Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses.
According to the notification, the next NIOS Public Examination for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses will be held in October-November 2021.
The registration process for the upcoming NIOS public examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses began on July 27. Application for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses must be submitted by August 16, 2021.
The Board is yet to release the exam date sheet.
Here are important dates:
For all learners without late fee: Registration begins without late fee July 27 to August 16, 2021
Closing date of registration: August 16, 2021
For learners with a late fee of Rs 100 per subject: August 17 to August 26, 2021
For all learners with a consolidated late fee of Rs 1500 per learner: August 27 to September 6, 2021
“All regional directors may take note for compliance. They are also directed to notify the concerned AIs that examination fees for Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations must be submitted within the stipulated time. This time the fees will be submitted only through online mode. No offline fee will be accepted,” according to the NIOS notification.
“The Regional Directors are requested to upload the notification on the Regional Centre website. They are also instructed to issue a Press Release in the local dailies,” the notification adds.

On July 23, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) announced the results of the public examinations of Class 10 and Class 12. In the absence of the June 2021 public exams, cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NIOS has issued public exam results based on alternate evaluation criteria. The alternative evaluation criteria were specially designed for Class 10 and Class 12 students.
