Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing a public meeting organised in Indore today, said that now a new scheme for constructing houses will be implemented in cities also. In this scheme, citizens will be able to build houses on their plots with the help of the state government.

The Chief Minister described the passing of the Nari Shakti Act in the Lok Sabha today as a historic moment.

He said that this will transform the lives of women.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that many schemes are being successfully run to change the lives of women and other citizens. He said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is not just a scheme of giving money but also of honouring women. He said that I am a member of the family of all the citizens of the state.

Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, former minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLA Ramesh Mendola, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Chairman of Indore Development Authority Jaipal Singh Chavda and other public representatives were present in this public meeting.

Addressing the public meeting, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that now we will not let any woman have tears in her eyes. We run the government like a family, I am a member of the family of all the citizens. I am brother and Mama. He said that Ladli Bahna Yojana has changed the lives of sisters. We have not given money but honour and respect. I promise that the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana will gradually be increased to three thousand rupees. Earlier this amount was Rs 1000 per month, now you will get Rs 1250. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is my dream and resolution to increase the income of sisters to Rs 10 thousand per month. He gave information about the schemes being run by the state government for girls.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that our government is giving laptops and scooties to talented girls. Besides, their college fees are also being paid. Many public welfare schemes are also being run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These are also yielding meaningful and better results. He said that under the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, pilgrimage is also being conducted by airplane. Illegal colonies of the state are being legalized.

Chief Minister Chouhan reached Indore today on a one-day visit. He reached Pipliya Rao Gurudwara located in Bhanwarkuan area and paid obeisance at the statue of former minister Laxman Singh Gaur at Mhow Naka and garlanded the statue of Maa Devi Ahilya Mata at Rajwada. The Chief Minister also offered prayers at Biyabani Temple.
