India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah exchanged vows with the sports host Sanjana Ganesan at a formal ceremony in Goa on Monday, starting their ‘new journey together.’
Bumrah and Sanjana got married at a private wedding attended by close friends and family members. Bumrah, 27, shared the news on Instagram with the title, “Love, if it finds you worthy, guides your path. Owned by love, we have started a new adventure together. Today is one of the best days of our lives, and we feel fortunate to be able to share with you the news of our wedding and our joy Jasprit & Sanjana.”
Well, as soon as the first photo of their wedding came out, the greeting messages began to flood in for the newly married couple. But what drew our eye was the startling resemblance between the wedding dress of Sanjana Ganesan and the wedding dress of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Both Anushka and Sanjana picked a peach-colored lehenga for their big day with a stunning flower-work pattern.
In addition, the jewelry worn by Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana on her wedding day is very close to that worn by the Anushka Sharma.’ On their wedding day, they wore matching ‘mathapattis’ and ‘jhumkas.’ Sanjana also wore a nathni similar to the one Anushka Sharma wore in her 2017 wedding in Italy.
Bumrah asked the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) be released from the fourth and final test against England for personal reasons. Sanjana hosted a variety of shows in the Indian Premier League (IPL), badminton, etc. for Star Sports. The 28-year-old also hosted a weekly program for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL franchise entitled ‘Knights Club.’
Sanjana is Miss India 2014 finalist and the Maharashtra girl also took part in the MTV show Splitsvilla 7 before beginning her career as a sports anchor.
