New Delhi. Considering security on the occasion of Republic Day some metro stations will be kept closed. During this time, the entry and exit of these metro stations will not be allowed. Although the metro will continue to run normally on these routes. All the parking of the Metro will be closed from 6am on the 25th of January to 26th January at 2 pm.
According to the DMRC, the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan will be closed from 6.00 am to 12.00 pm on the Yellow Line which runs between Hooda city center and Timur Bulli. The Central Secretariat Metro Station will be used only for Interchange. Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro stations of the same line will be closed from 8.45 am to 12 noon.
The Blue Line Metro that runs between Noida / Vaishali to Dwarka will be stopped on Mandi House and Pragati Maidan while passing through parade from Tilak bridge. The time has not been decided for this. This service will be stopped as per the instructions given by Delhi Police. In the meantime, services on line will continue from Noida city center to Indraprastha, Vaishali to Yamuna Bank and Dwarka Sector 21 to Barakhhamba Road.
ITO, Delhi Gate, Red Fort and Jama Masjid station will be open all the way from the Kashmiri Gate to Escorts mujassar. But some of their gates will be closed till 12 noon. Gate No. 3 and 4 of ITO, Gate No. 1,4 and 5 at Delhi Gate, Gate No. 1 and 4 on Red Fort and Gate No. 3 and 4 will be closed on Jama Masjid.
Apart from this, Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat metro station will be closed from 2 pm to 6.30 pm during the Beating Retreat Festival held on January 29. However, during this time, the Central Secretariat will be able to interchange with the landing at the metro station.
