Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that – ‘I am not the Chief Minister and you are not the public, we all are one family. Your brother, your Mama is running the government. Today I am overwhelmed by your affection and love. My sisters showered me with flowers, today I take a pledge that I will never let thorns come in their way. Vikas Parv is being celebrated in the state, in which along with development works, maximum solutions will be given to the problems of the people.’
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a huge gathering at Vikas Parv after Vikas Yatra in Biaora, Rajgarh today, in which a large number of women took part.
The Chief Minister dedicated/performed bhoomi-pujan of various development works worth Rs 33 crore 78 lakh. These include dedication of 100 seater hostel for boys and girls and 6 roads apart from bhoomi-pujan of one road.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of the country in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission. Incomplete tap-water schemes will be completed soon so that the citizens can avail benefits. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done historic work in the interest of rural women through this mission. Tap water will be provided in all the villages so that women get water at home. The Chief Minister said that only the farmer knows the pain of dry farms. The state government aims to provide irrigation water to each farm. In fields that have been flooded with excessive rain, the concerned farmers will be given appropriate relief amount as per the provision.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a campaign to change the lives of the people is going on in the state. Women are being empowered through schemes like Ladli Lakshmi, Ladli Bahna Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah, Sambal Yojana and Livelihood Mission etc. Apart from this, Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana, Yuva Udyam Kranti Yojana and other self-employment schemes are operational in the state for employment. The process of recruitment for one lakh government posts is going on and after its completion, 50 thousand more recruitments will be made.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous government had withdrawn many schemes being run for the welfare of the people. Our government restarted schemes like distribution of laptops to meritorious students, supply of cycles, maternity assistance, Aahar Anudan, assistance for Kanya Vivah. Women are being given the work of toll tax operation with an annual income of Rs 2 crore, out of which 30 percent amount will be given to them. The work of implementing various schemes at the field level has also been entrusted to Ladli Bahnas. The government is making the lives of small employees better by giving maximum benefits to them.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the name of waiving off the loans of the farmers, the previous government imposed huge interest on them, which was finally cleared by the present government. Payment of interest amount of Rs 2200 crore to the farmers was started from Rajgarh district itself. Madhya Pradesh was the first state, which did the work of providing loans to farmers at zero percent interest. At present, the central and state government is providing an amount of Rs 12,000 per year to the poor farmers under the Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Card and Free Ration Schemes are being run.
The Chief Minister said that on 20th, he will deposit Rs 25,000 for laptops in the accounts of meritorious students and will give scooties to students who topped in the Higher Secondary School. The Chief Minister told that ‘I promise that money will not be an obstacle in studies and the government will deposit the fees for higher education. The Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana is a source of encouragement for the youth. Along with learning the work, they will also get a stipend of Rs 8 to 10 thousand per month.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that during Vikas Parv, development works worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore will be undertaken in the state. In Rajgarh district alone, development works worth about Rs 6 crores are being undertaken. Chief Minister Chouhan called upon the people to take a pledge to extend full cooperation in building a new Madhya Pradesh.
On this occasion, people of Rajgarh welcomed Chief Minister Chouhan by tying a turban as per the tradition. Public representatives including MP Rodmal Nagar, MLA Rajyavardhan Singh and Kunwar Kothar were present.
