Between August 1 and 15, the Uttar Pradesh government made a negative coronavirus report or vaccination certificate necessary for anyone entering the state from regions with a weekly positivity rate of more than 3%.
Amit Mohan Prasad, the Additional Chief Secretary for Health, told reporters that it will apply to all people traveling from such states by air, train, or road.
Mr. Prasad stated that anyone traveling from another state with a weekly positive rate of more than 3% will have to provide a four-day-old negative RTPCR data or a vaccination certificate for both doses.
“The restriction is only for the states having a high weekly positivity rate of over three percent. There is no restriction for other states,” he said, adding that the number of active cases in the state has come down to 1,093 in Uttar Pradesh.
The list of high positivity states based on the weekly positivity rate (16-22 July) will be published on the website http://dgmhup.gov.in on July 24, according to an order issued in this respect by the state surveillance officer.
“Travellers coming to Uttar Pradesh between August 1 and 15 from the states mentioned in this list must make one of the documents available at the point of entry into UP,” the order said.
