The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued an official notice on Wednesday in response to a fraudulent public notice. The subject line “Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021” is being spread via various methods, including social media.
The examination conducting body has denied releasing any notice regarding September 5 as the exam date for NEET 2021.
“The fake/unauthorized public notice has been viewed seriously by the NTA, as it is being circulated by some unscrupulous elements with a motive to misguide the aspiring candidates/parents/guardians/public at large. The NTA is still in consultation with the concerned stakeholders for finalizing a suitable date for the conduct of NEET (UG) – 2021, keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” the official notice read.
The NTA has warned aspiring NEET (UG) – 2021 candidates, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders not to pay attention to such bogus notices. They should be mindful of unauthorized/fake public notices are issued through unknown sources.
Candidates are also advised to rely only on NTA’s official websites, notably nta.ac.in and ntaneet.nic.in, for public notices/information/ dates.
The majority of entrance exams have been rescheduled due to the COVID-19 outbreak from time to time.
However, those taking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) look concerned due to a lack of information.
While it was confirmed that NEET-UG 2021 would be held soon, no further information has been released.
Due to the nationwide shutdown of educational institutes and coaching centers for the entire year of 2020, students are anticipating some relaxation in the syllabus, paper pattern, and evaluation process.
It is not possible, to conduct NEET-UG 2021 in an online mode. Every year nearly 17 lakhs of students appear the exam. For conducting the exam through online mode we need strong digital infrastructure.
It will be extremely difficult to conduct an entrance exam on such a huge scale in a single shift.
