The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has issued an alarm to the government, citing predictions of a third wave of Covid-19 infections in the region, which is expected to have a negative effect on children. The NCPCR has urged the government to put in place the appropriate medical facilities and equipment so that cases and deaths are kept to a minimum.
