The museum complex at Rashtrapati Bhavan, which has been closed since April due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will reopen to the public on Sunday. According to a statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, tours of the Rashtrapati Bhavan will be available on Saturday and Sunday, except on gazetted holidays, in three pre-booked time slots: 10:30am-11am, 12:30pm-1:30pm, and 2:30pm-3:30pm, with a maximum limit of 25 visitors per slot.
Except on gazetted holidays, the Rashtrapati Bhavan museum complex will be open six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday in four pre-booked time slots: 9:30am-11am, 11:30am-1pm, 1:30pm-3pm, and 3:30pm-5pm, with a maximum of 50 visitors per slot.
The museum complex is an event-based storytelling museum that displays priceless artefacts that represent India’s art, culture, heritage, and history. The storey of Rashtrapati Bhavan is told using virtual and augmented reality, an interactive digital cascading table, a video wall, three-dimensional stereoscopic projection, holographic projection, and sound-light-video synchronised stage settings.
