Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the spirit of creating a strong industrial landscape and employment generation is embedded in every pore of the roadmap which we have prepared for building an Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh for a Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The role of big industries is as important as the role of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the yagya that is going on to make a 21st century Atmanirbhar Bharat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The role of these entrepreneurs is very important in providing employment to the youth, they are a powerful means of creating investment and employment opportunities at the local level. The state government is committed to provide all possible cooperation to help and develop these units working locally on local resources. For this purpose, the theme of the summit being held today has been kept as ‘Positive coincidence of economic development – Micro, Small and Medium Industries of Madhya Pradesh’.
Chouhan inaugurated the State Level MSME Summit at Hotel Amer Green Bhopal. Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai was present as a special guest. The office bearers of several industry associations, big industrial houses, new entrepreneurs, senior officers of the central and state governments participated in the summit.
Chouhan inaugurated the summit by lighting the lamp. A short film on the role of MSMEs in Madhya Pradesh was screened. Chief Minister Chouhan presented MSME awards to successful entrepreneurs and MoUs were also exchanged between the state government and reputed companies and institutions of the country. All the districts of the state got connected virtually with the programme.
Entrepreneurs should share the points of improvement in policies with the government
Chouhan said that micro, small and medium enterprises are partners in the prosperity and development of Madhya Pradesh. This summit has been organized to discuss how we can move forward together. Enthusiasm is most important for success. You move forward by taking advantage of Ease of Doing Business with positive thinking. Share the points where there is a need for improvement in government policies with the government. Whatever is best will be implemented. We will work together and take Madhya Pradesh forward. We are all determined to make India a leader in the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
Urges cooperation in the implementation of Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana
Chouhan said that 12 schemes are being implemented in the state to promote self-employment and small industries. Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana is also being implemented, in which 700 works have been identified. Entrepreneurs should join this scheme, connect youth, make them skilled and take advantage of the scheme. This scheme is useful for entrepreneurs and youth desirous of employment and is effective for making Madhya Pradesh capable and self-reliant.
Policies of the government are according to the needs of the industries
Chouhan said that policies and schemes are being prepared and implemented according to the requirements of industries of each level. There are immense possibilities of industrial development due to abundant availability of mineral resources, adequate land bank, well-developed road infrastructure, increasing agricultural productivity and investment-friendly policies in the state.
A separate department has been constituted for the development of MSME sector. Several provisions have been made to encourage startups and provide them a better ecosystem. Expressways are being developed with better road network. Along with this, investment corridors will also be built. Clusters of industries are being developed for better industrial infrastructure facilities. New employment opportunities are being created with “one district-one product”. Along with Global Skill Park, ITIs are also being empowered at divisional and district level for availability of skilled human resources.
State presented a unique example of financial management
Chouhan said that the state is moving towards continuous development. We are not a sick state anymore. The size of Madhya Pradesh’s GSDP has crossed Rs. 15 lakh crore. The per capita income of the state has increased to one lakh 40 thousand rupees. This year’s budget is Rs. 3 lakh 14 thousand crore. The state has presented a unique example of financial management. The state government is simultaneously doing the work of giving one thousand rupees per month to the Ladli Bahnas and increasing the capital expenditure.
Entrepreneurial environment has been created in the state: Minister Shri Sakhalecha
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha said that our department is a department that contributes significantly to the economy. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are in utmost need of technological upgradation. With the co-operation, guidance and generosity of Chief Minister Chouhan, an environment of entrepreneurship has been created in the state. The state government is encouraging display centres and online connectivity with industrial clusters. Better efforts are also being made for better marketing of the material produced in the state.
Entrepreneurs felicitated
Chouhan presented the MSME Awards for the years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. The first prize for the year 2018-19 was awarded to ITL Industries Limited Indore, second prize to Shastri Surgical Industries Raisen and third prize to Shakti Emporium Jhabua for adopting effective work culture and best practices. Smt. Mamta Mahajan of Mantra Composite Indore was awarded among women entrepreneurs. For the year 2019-20, first prize was given to Nandini Medical Laboratories Indore, second prize to New Life Laboratories Mandideep Raisen and third prize to Safeflex International Dhar. For the year 2020-21, Modern Laboratories Indore got the first prize, DECG International Mandideep Raisen second and Healthico Quality Products Dhar got the third prize. Smt. Shikha Vishal Jaiswal and Smt. Niharika Ajay Jaiswal of Sai Machine Tools Indore and Smt. Mamta Sharma of Arthav Packaging Indore were awarded in the category of women entrepreneurs in the year 2020-21. MoUs were exchanged with NSE India, Walmart, RXIL, Invoice Mart and AISECT in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.
Secretary MSME P. Narahari welcomed the guests and informed about the summit and departmental programmes and schemes. There will be 6 sessions in the summit, through which entrepreneurs, subject-experts and youths will get guidance for entrepreneurship. The sessions have been designed with a special focus on new possibilities in different sectors. The summit will have special sessions on technology transfer, new age finance, international competitiveness, promotion of women entrepreneurship and digital transformation for MSMEs.
The Summit was attended by United Nations Industrial Development Organisation India Representative Rene Van Berkel, FICCI Flow National President Sudha Shivakumar, Koppal Toy Cluster CEO Sushri Kishore Rao, National Research Development Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Commodore Amit Rastogi (Retired), Director General of the Indian Institute of Public Administration Surendra Nath Tripathi and President of Laghu Udyog Bharti Mahesh Gupta. Representatives from Invest India, ASSOCHAM India, CII, FICCI, PHD Chambers of Commerce & Industry and DICCI attended the summit.
