The district manager of MP State Civil Supplies Corporation (MPSCSC) was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs.60000 in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
A team of Lokayukta’s special police establishment of Jabalpur caught Sanjay Singh, the district manager of MPSCSC while accepting a bribe, Lokayukta deputy superintendent of police Dileep Jharwade said.
Singh after receiving the bribe amount handed over the cash to Accountant Dheeraj Mishra, he said.
The cash is recovered from Mishra, the official said.
The action was taken on a complaint received from Ishwar Rohra a rice mill owner against district manager Singh demanding 3 percent bribe to clear the bill amounting to Rs. 20 lakh related to rice milling, he said.
