The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission on Wednesday took cognizance over the incident of Kratesh Patel was found hanging in the guard room of Jaisinagar police station in Sagar district.
The family claims Kratesh was murdered.
MPHRC member Manohar Mamtani has taken cognizance in the matter and has asked the IG Sagar zone to submit a factual report within a month.
A youth allegedly committed suicide in the guard room of Jaisinagar police station in Sagar district on Tuesday.
The name of the deceased is Kratesh Patel (18 years) resident of village Semra Gopalman falling under area of the police station Jaisinagar in Sagar district.
The incident is being told at around 11 am on Tuesday. According to the police, the youth was being questioned in connection with the kidnapping of a minor girl.
The youth all of sudden managed to tied a piece of cloth (gamcha) with a ceiling fan and allegedly committed suicide by hanging with.
However, the family reached immediately. He was in a state of unconsciousness. He was immediately taken to local hospital from where he was referred to other hospital, he died on the way.
On the other hand, the relatives of the deceased have accused the police of killing Kratesh and hanging his body.
In view of the seriousness of the incident, the district collector Sagar has ordered a magisterial inquiry on the recommendation of the superintendent of police.
In this case, the MP Human Rights Commission has asked the Inspector General of Police, Sagar zone to investigate the matter and asked for a factual report in a month along with photocopies of all relevant documents of the case.
