The Madhya Pradesh High court has served notices on Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and others on a petition seeking ban on her book ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be’ for allegedly hurt religious sentiments of the Christian community.
The plea is filed by advocate Christopher Anthony challenging the lower court order of February 2022 whereby his petition was dismissed that sought relief to ban the book and remove the word ‘Bible’ from the title of her book.
The police did not file the report of the inquiry into his complaint against the actress and others and in want of that report the lower court dismissed the petition, Anthony said.
The high court also issued notices to other respondents in the petition including Aditi Shah Bhimjiyani, the Amazon Online Shopping Bangalore, Jauggarnaut Books, the superintendent of police Jabalpur, the Omti police station incharge and the State government.
