The Madhya Pradesh High Court has served notices on the Sanchi University Budhist-Indic Studies, Sanchi in Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh over anamolies in advertisement for posts of professors, associate professors and assistant professors.

The petition is filed by Vikas Wasnik of district Seoni has filed the PIL challening the advertisement 1083/SUBIS/2023, 1084/SUBIS, 1085/SUBIS dated 13/04/2023 published by the Registrar, Sanchi University of
Buddhist – Indic Studies, Sanchi, District Raisen,M.P i.e respondent
no.3, the petitioner’s counsel Deepak Singh said.

through this advertisement the varsity has invited online application for the various academic positions in the University on direct recruitment basis for the number of faculty positions for Professors, Associate Professors
and Assistant Professors available in various schools/centers of
the University without following the reservation policy and in utter
disregard to the constitutional provisions pertains to the members
of backward classes and also in violation of various policy pertains
to the reservation criteria, method, roaster etc. it is also pertinent
to mention here that in order to disturb the whole reservation
policy respondent no.3 changed the nomenclature of the
post/position to avoid the alphabetical order reservation and
misuse and abuse his authority arbitrary against the object of the
establishment of the university and even there is no proper
reservation for the Divyang/handicapped category is proposed
according to the policy that is 6% Horizontal reservation, and it is
pertinent to mentioned here that the there is only 30 were
approved and sanctioned for the post of Assistant Professor junior
grade whereas in adv.no/1085/SUBIS/2023 , 60 post of Assistant
Professors in various subjects in different schools/center and
departments were advertised wrongly and therefore more post
were advertise than the sanctioned post in utter disregard to the
schemes and policies of the state government.

The court has granted two weeks time to the varsity through the registrar to file reply to the notice, the counsel said.
