The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a bailable warrant in the sum of Rs. 5 lakh against Subrata Roy, Managing worker and chairman of Sahara India Pariwar on a petition claiming the amount deposited in various schemes in the respondent financial institution is not refunded.
The petitioners counsel Ankit Mishra said the petitioners deposited Rs. 24 lakhs in various schemes in different amount in the respondent/agency Sahara India has not been refunded to them as yet.
The office of respondent No.4 Sahara India in Markonia, Sagar has also been closed down, the counsel.
The counsel also submitted that respondent No.3 being a Managing Worker and Chairman of Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited is also not appearing in the case.
Despite service of notice upon respondent Nos.3, 5 and 6, nobody is representing them, the court order said.
‘In the circumstance, let a bailable warrant in the sum of Rs.5,00,000/- be
issued against respondent No.3 namely Subrata Roy, Managing Worker and
Chairman’, said the court order of 12/12/2022.
‘However, the Superintendent of Police, Lucknow, is directed to serve the
warrant upon respondent No.3 for securing his presence before this Court on the next date of hearing’, the court order said.
The petitioners Vishnu Prasad Sahu, Bhagbai Sahu and Rishikant Sahu of Sagar district filed the petition after they did not get the refund of money from the respondent financial institution.
