The Madhya Pradesh High Court has imposed cost of Rs. 10000 on the State government for not filing a reply towards a petition related to Krishi Mandi election in the state.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice R Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra said in spite of granting sufficient time, the respondent/State once again seeks time to file reply, the court order said.
Call after two weeks finally on payment of cost of Rs.10,000 to be paid
within one week, the court order said.
The last Krishi Mandi election in Madhya Pradesh was held in year 2012-13 as per norms the state government was suppose to hold election in 2017-18 as the tenure of the elected body ended, the petitioner Manish Sharma said.
Presently the Krishi Mandi is being administered by the officers, he said.
