Justice Maninder S Bhatti allowed the prayer of the state government and granted three weeks time to file reply to the petition.

An aspirant Prayag Raj Dubey filed by a petition stating he appeared in the Examination of  Group-2 (Sub Group-4) Sahayak Samparikshak, Patwari & other post Combined Recruitment Test-2022, participated as EWS Category candidate and declared as qualified candidate.

The examination result was declared on 30.06.2023.

The petitioner was absolutely sure of getting the job of Patwari in the State of M.P. and he was preparing himself for the next stage, but unfortunately, suddenly the Chief Minister of M.P. tweeted that the entire selection process is stayed because in one of the centres at Gwalior i.e. NRI College Centre, it is alleged that out of total 10 persons, who have been toppers, seven belong to that particular centre, and therefore,  wild allegations have been made from both sides from the political campus, the petition claimed.

Therefore, the entire process has been stayed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on tweet, the petition claimed.

The Chief Minister has not passed any official order nor he has the capacity to pass the complete stay of selection process because the examination was conducted by an independent body, and therefore, the Chief Minister has no authority under law to declare that the entire selection process is stayed, the petition stated.

The state of Madhya Pradesh through the principal secretary, General Administration Department, Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board Bhopal (MP) through its chairman are made respondents in the petition.
