Various organisations in Madhya Pradesh celebrated World Indigenous Peoples Day in tribal dominated districts including Dindori and Mandla.
The celebration started by performing prayers of Bada Dev, a tribal said.
The day is aimed at promoting and protecting the rights of the world’s indigenous population.
A tribal social organisation took out tableau displaying pictures of tribal freedom fighters, rights of the tribals and other issues, in Dindori.
The cultural programmes were held in which the local dance were staged.
