The Special Judge, Vyapam Cases, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Gulab Singh Patel (Solver) and Jitendra Kumar Jatav (candidate) to undergo four years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.13,100 each in a case related to Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha-2011 for Category-II conducted by Vyapam.

CBI had registered the instant case on 04.08.2015 in compliance of the orders dated 09.07.2015 of Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of the case, earlier registered vide FIR No.49/2012 at Police Station Dehat, Bhind against Jitendra Kumar Jatav, Gulab Singh and others on the allegations of impersonation in Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha-2011 for Category-II.

It was revealed during investigation that middleman approached a person to arrange willing candidate whom he assured to get selected through impersonation in Samvida Shala Shikshak Eligibility Examination for category-II being conducted by Vyapam for Rs.One Lakh and in lieu of it, the middleman promised to give Rs.10,000/- per candidate as commission. Gulab Singh was arranged as Solver for candidate Jitendra Kumar Jatav.

After investigation, a chargesheet was filed against the accused on 30.06.2016 before the ASJ, Gwalior.

The Trial Court found the said accused guilty and convicted them. One accused expired during trial and the charges had been abated against him.
