The Special Judge, CBI (Vyapam Cases), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced 03 candidates, namely Puran Singh, Lankesh Sharma and Satish Argal to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment in a case related to MPCRT-2013 Examination conducted by Vyapam .
The CBI had registered the instant case on 17.08.2015 in compliance to the orders dated 09.07.2015 of Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of FIR No.09/15 dated 16.05.2015, earlier registered at Police Station STF, Bhopal.
It was alleged that the accused cleared the MPCRT-2013 Examination using illegal means through impersonation.
After investigation, CBI filed a chargesheet against four accused before the Court of 9th Addl. Sessiosns Judge, Bhopal on 12.03.2019.
The Trial Court found three accused (Candidates) guilty and acquitted a middleman.
