Culture, Tourism and Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Usha Thakur and Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inaugurated the ultramodern Vistadome from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. Minister duo flagged off Jan Shatabdi Express fitted with Vistadome coach.
On the initiative of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Indian Railways has included Vistadome Coaches to provide a unique travel experience to the tourists in Madhya Pradesh.
The coach is fitted with glass ceilings and large glass windows, so that tourists will be able to see breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys from their seats.
Minister Thakur said tourists will be able to experience a pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable travel in Vistadome coach.
The Department of Tourism is committed to innovate all the time to provide safe and comfortable tourism to the tourists.
During the trip, tourists will experience an exciting journey by seeing the panoramic view of nature.
Minister Vishwas Sarang said that the result of the thinking of the Tourism Department is visible on the ground.
Ultramodern and comfortable coaches like Vistadome will boost tourism in the state. It is so fascinating that I would like to travel in it myself.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director Tourism Board Sheo Shekhar Shukla said Vistadome is an innovation of tourism department on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
This coach connects the major tourist destinations of the state. Tourists who wish to visit important tourist places like Bhimbetka, Salkanpur Temple, Narmada Ghat, Satpura National Park, Madhai, Pachmarhi, Bhedaghat, Madan Mahal Fort etc. should include Vistadome Coach in their trip.
DRM Saurabh Bandopadhyay, Managing Director Tourism Development Corporation S Vishwanathan and Additional Managing Director Tourism Board Vivek Shrotriya were present along with large number of citizens.
Vistadome is an ultramodern coach manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory of the Indian Railways.
These coaches include large glass windows and roofs, revolving seats and an observation lounge to allow passengers to have a glimpse of mountains, valleys, greenery, etc.
It is also equipped with Wi-Fi, GPS and infotainment system, so that passengers will get the most mesmerizing travel experience in the train. The Vistadome coach also features a mini pantry car along with multi-tier steel luggage shells, snack table, tourist-friendly lounge, microwave oven, coffee maker and refrigerator for the passengers.
