Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Gram Panchayat Secretary acts as a bridge between the Gram Panchayat and the government. They connect the government with the gram panchayat. There is continuity in their work. Numerous important public welfare schemes are implemented by the Gram Panchayat Secretary. Today Madhya Pradesh is leading in Awas Yojana, Nal Jal Yojana and other schemes. Gram Panchayat secretaries worked continuously even during the Covid period. Gram Panchayat secretaries have play a critical role in getting the recently launched Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana implemented quickly. Their hard work and honesty is commendable.

Announcements made in Gram Panchayat Secretaries ConferenceIt will be ensured that the village secretaries get their salaries on the 1st of every month.Panchayat secretaries will get the benefit of seventh pay scale with immediate effect.Time scale pay scale will also be given to Panchayat secretaries.On untimely death of Panchayat Secretary, the dependent will get compassionate appointment, rules will be simplified for this.Gram Panchayat Secretaries will get 50 percent reservation in appointment to the posts of PCO (Panchayat Co-ordinating Officer).Gram Panchayat secretaries will be given accident insurance of Rs 5 lakhs.Gram Panchayat secretaries will get leave and other facilities like in government service.Necessary process will be started and completed to provide facility to Gram Panchayat secretaries like regular employees. The benefit of new pension will also be given like regular employees.On retirement, a lump sum amount of Rs three lakh will be given to the panchayat secretaries.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Gram Panchayat Secretary plays an important role in transforming the village as developed, well-equipped and self-sufficient. It is also imperitive for a developed India. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan made an important announcement in the interest of Panchayat Secretaries during the Panchayat Secretaries Conference at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal today and said that Gram Panchayat Secretaries will be given various facilities like regular employees .

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Gram Panchayat Secretary remains alert to provide pension and benefits of other schemes to the beneficiaries. He expressed hope that the Panchayat Secretary would bring great results by working efficiently in the implementation of every scheme including quality of construction, Swachh Bharat Mission and Employment Guarantee Scheme. CM Chouhan said that development with an atmosphere of harmony is essential today and Gram Panchayat Secretary plays crucial role in this.

At the outset of the programme, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh functionary Madhukar Sanwale said that he never witnessed a public leader like Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in his entire social life. Recently, he has hiked the salary of employment assistants from 9 thousand to 18 thousand per month. This is a unique example of doubling the salary of any class or category. No one would have even imagined this. Madhya Pradesh is progressing under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. His decisions in the interest of the employees are commendable.

Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ram Khelawan Patel said that Chief Minister Chouhan has taken positive decisions on the suggestions of gram panchayat secretaries. Impossible is not a word in his dictionary. Chief Minister Chouhan was honoured by offering a big flower-garland and presented with mace. He was tied a turban as well.

Tribute paid to deceased Panchayat employees

In the Panchayat Secretaries convention, Chief Minister Chouhan also paid tribute to two Panchayat Secretaries for their untimely demise. CM Chouhan said that the families of the deceased employees who passed away untimely will be given an assistance of Rs.10 lakh each.

In the programme, Chairman of the State Employees Welfare Committee Ramesh Chandra Sharma, Chairman of the Poor Classes Welfare Commission Shiv Choubey, Bal Mukund Patidar, Vinod Sharma, Niranjan ji were present along with Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Malay Srivastava and Gram Panchayat secretaries in large numbers who had arrived from the entire state.
