Two units of Satpura Thermal Power Station Sarni of the state owned Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited of 250-250 MW installed capacity created a record of continuous operation for the maximum number of days on June 6 by generating electricity continuously for 234 days.
For the first time in the history of power generating company, a unit has created a record of continuous power generation for 234 days.
Earlier, unit number one of Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project Khandwa had set a record of continuous power generation for 233 days. Both the 250-250 MW units of Satpura Thermal Power Station Sarni are producing electricity by operating continuously from October 15, 2022.
Achievement in PAF, PLF and auxiliary consumption
Both the units of 250 MW each have achieved excellence in parameters like Plant Ability Factor (PAF), Plant Load Factor (PLF) and Auxiliary Consumption by showing excellent and commendable performance during operation. Unit No. 10 of 250 MW installed capacity of Power House No. 4 achieved 101.07 percent PAF, 97.8 percent PLF and 7.73 percent auxiliary consumption. Whereas Unit No. 11 achieved 101.5 percent PAF, 98.1 percent PLF and 7.91 percent auxiliary consumption.
Energy Minister congratulated
Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey have congratulated all the engineers and personnel for making a record of power generation for 234 consecutive days by Unit No. 10 and 11 of Satpura Thermal Power Station.
