MP Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput said any kind of irregularity will not be tolerated and removed Bhopal RTO Sanjay Tiwari, while ARTO Anpa Khan attached to Gwalior.
State Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, following the policy of good governance by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, had given instructions to Transport Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jha to take strict action after irregularities came to the fore in Regional Transport Office, Bhopal.
Taking prompt action on the instructions of Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Transport Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jha on Sunday has removed Regional Transport Officer Bhopal Sanjay Tiwari and attached him to the Commissioner’s Camp Office, Bhopal.
While Assistant Regional Transport Officer Anpa Khan has been removed from Bhopal and attached to the Transport Commissioner’s Office, Gwalior. On the other hand, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Ranjana Kushwaha has been given the charge of Bhopal RTO.
On the instructions of Transport Minister Rajput, Commissioner Mr. Jha has also constituted an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
Deputy Transport Commissioner (Complaints) Dilip Singh Tomar has been made the chairman of the committee while Divisional Deputy Transport Commissioner Bhopal Arun Singh will be a member of the committee.
The commissioner has given instructions to the inquiry committee that the inquiry committee will submit the inquiry report in 10 days, fixing the responsibility. It will also give its recommendations for improvement in district and regional transport offices.
After the matter came to the fore, State Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput has said that any kind of irregularity and negligence will not be tolerated in the Transport Department. Strict action will be taken against the officers who do not take care of the convenience of the public and the good governance policy of the Chief Minister will be followed.
It has been informed by the Transport Minister that in the coming week, he himself along with the senior officials of the department will conduct a surprise inspection of the RTO offices of the state and take information from the general public about the activities going on there and prompt action will be taken against the concerned officials if irregularities are found. Rajput said that the state government is firm on the issue of good governance. Irregularity and negligence will not be tolerated at any cost.
