Madhya Pradesh Transport and Revenue Minister Govind Singh Rajput slammed the Congress for taking credit of the ‘Mahakal Lok’ – Ujjain Mahakal Temple corridor project initiated, executed and completed by the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Madhya Pradesh.
The problem with the Congress is that its leaders often attempt to take credit of projects which are initiated and completed by the BJP government, Rajput told the local reporters.
The Mahakal temple corridor is constructed with the support of Prime Minister Modi and the efforts of the Madhya Pradesh government, he said.
He said the funds of Rs.700 crore for construction of Mahakal Temple corridor in Ujjain was sanctioned by the cabinet under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and not by the previous Congress government.
He was responding towards the query about the Congress claimed of sanctioned Rs.300 crore for the Mahakal temple corridor project during the tenure of previous Congress government in Madhya Pradesh.
The Bharatiya Janata Party governments across the country are rejuvenating and constructing new beautiful corridor of famous ancient religious places, he said.
The coming generation will remember that there was a government that worked for beautification of the ancient religious places, he added.
