Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, continuous direction of Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput and efficiency of Principal Secretary Transport Sukhvir Singh and Transport Commissioner Sajay Kumar Jha, Additional Transport Commissioner (Enforcement) Arvind Kumar Saxena, the department has achieved this great achievement.

Congratulating the departmental officers and employees on this success, Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput has given instructions to work with the same efficiency and dedication in the coming financial year.

Under the leadership of Transport Minister Rajput, the department is progressing on the path of continuous progress.

Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput created an all-time record of such success in the department only because of the guidelines given at the right time to the efforts and innovations made for revenue generation through continuous reviews and monitoring of work of the transport department.

Transport Minister Rajput motivated the divisional and district transport officers and enforcement staff to give effective results by working with collective team spirit for revenue collection.

Its positive result has come out in the form of revenue collection by the departmental staff, he said.

Due to the proper promotion of the One Time Settlement Scheme by the Transport Minister Rajput, the vehicles registered for a long time but not depositing the outstanding tax amount and penalty were motivated by reaching out to the vehicle owners and motivating them to deposit the arrears.

For this, on completion of vehicle life up to 5, 10, 15 and 20 years, motor vehicle tax was motivated to pay the outstanding motor vehicle tax by giving facility of exemption of 10, 20, 30 and 90 percent respectively. Apart from this, the notification issued on 30 September 22 to completely waive the penalty on outstanding motor vehicle tax for OTS for vehicles of any age category, motivating them to take advantage of this scheme by 31 March 23, yielded good results.

Better results obtained from focus on Vahan-4 portal:

Vahan-4 portal was started in Madhya Pradesh from August 1, 2022, under the guidance of Transport Minister Rajput. Registration of non-transport vehicles started in this portal first. Later, from January 23, 2023, registration of commercial vehicles was started on this portal. Transport Minister Rajput directed NIC to run a training program for all transport officers and automobile dealers to adopt this new technology so that this system can be understood. The transport department and NIC officials were directed to review daily to solve the difficulties faced by the use of the system by the transport minister. This initiative of Transport Minister Rajput has yielded positive results. The correct assessment of life time tax has been done by showing the price of the latest model of vehicles to the transport offices of the state on the portal. Apart from this, by simplifying the faceless process of making a learning license through the Sarathi portal, the citizens of the state were motivated to convert the learning license into a driving license, thereby earning revenue for the department.

Strictness on vehicles that do not deposit motor vehicle tax

Transport Minister Rajput instructed the departmental staff to identify such vehicles as well, which were not paying motor vehicle tax for a long time. Such motor vehicles were given the option of depositing the tax by giving a notice. On non-use of the option, necessary action was taken by the checkpost and the divisional security squad to seize such vehicles and recover the outstanding tax.

From time to time, on the instructions of Minister Rajput, overloading, operation of vehicles without permits and the action taken by the Transport Department after instructions to run a campaign against vehicles violating the conditions of the permit, by placing proper documents in the vehicle owners and drivers Developed the habit of driving a vehicle which has also earned revenue.
