In the virtual presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia flagged off two flights Jabalpur-Indore-Jabalpur and Indore-Gwalior-Indore of Alliance Air Company on Tuesday.
Chouhan said that from Madhya Pradesh, being in the middle of the country, it is possible to reach any part at a faster speed.
This geographical compatibility makes it easy to realise the potential of industry and tourism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister JM Scindia are striving to improve air connectivity, he said.
Chouhan said Prime Minister Modi has done the auspicious work of the entry of Cheetahs brought from the other continent into the Kuno Palpur National Park on September 17.
He said it has special importance in tourism development. Madhya Pradesh has become Cheetah State after becoming Tiger and Leopard State. Expansion of air services in Madhya Pradesh will help in the development of tourism.
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that a green field airport is proposed to be constructed in Chachoda village of Dewas district near Indore. For this the land has also been marked. This plan will be implemented soon. Along with this, work will also be done to increase the length of Rewa and Ujjain air strips in the state, he said.
Chief Minister Chouhan said the residents of Jabalpur-Gwalior and Indore are being benefitted with new air services by Alliance Air.
Madhya Pradesh government will give full cooperation in air connectivity expansion plans.
Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the citizens after launch of new air services. Referring to the development of the state, Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts are being made in all four directions with Madhya Pradesh coming first in the West Zone in cleanliness, Indore getting the title of cleanest city of the country for the sixth time in a row.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that inimitable work is being done under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan for the progress in Madhya Pradesh.
For the first time, work is being done to connect three major cities of the state Indore-Jabalpur and Gwalior by air services in a single day.
The arrival of Cheetahs in the Kuno National Park under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi is a special achievement. Approvals have been received for elevated road and other development works in Gwalior zone. The number of air traffic movements from Madhya Pradesh is increasing. Minister of State for Civil Aviation General VK Singh, MP Rakesh Singh, State’s Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Tourism Minister Usha Thakur, MP Indore Shankar Lalwani, Shri Vivek Tankha, former Minister Mahendra Hardia, Sudarshan Gupta and other public representatives attended the programme from different places.
