Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 24 National Highway projects, 724 kilometers roads costing Rs 10,405 crore on January 30 in Bhopal and Jabalpur.
These projects will boost agriculture trade in Mahakaushal region, improve connectivity for famous pilgrimage sites and support the coal industry in Katni.
Connectivity to the famous tourist destinations like Khajuraho, Orchha, National Pench Tiger Corridor will be improved, Budhni textile industries and wood craft trade will also get support as Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi will have good interstate connectivity.
In Jabalpur, construction of bridge on Jamni river located on Tikamgarh-Jhansi road of NH-539, 2-lane road upgradation work with paved shoulder from Chadiya Valley to Katni bypass, four-lane construction of Bamitha to Khajuraho part of NH-339 lane widening works will be inaugurated.
Foundation stone for two lane with paved shoulder road upgradation work from Gulganj Bypass to Barna River, two lane road construction from Barna River to Ken River, two lane from Shahdol to Sagar Tola Road upgradation work with paved shoulders, construction of total 23 bridge service roads in Lalitpur-Sagar-Lakhnadon section under NH-44 (MP), total 3 foot overs at Suktara, Khurai and Khawasa of NH-44 and construction work of bridge and improvement work of 2 black spots on Banjari Valley (NH-44) will be laid.
Foundation stone laying ceremony for 15 National Highway projects, 498 kilometers long, at a cost of Rs 8,38 crore will be held at Bhopal and in Jabalpur the foundation stone laying ceremony of 9 National Highway projects, 226 kilometers long, at a cost of Rs 2,367 crore will be held at the Veterinary College Ground. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh will be present.
In Bhopal, foundation stone for six-lane widening of Ayodhya bypass section of NH-46, four-lane widening of Shahganj to Bari section of NH-146B, Madhya Pradesh of NH-552 (extended) / Construction of two-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Sheopur-Goras from Rajasthan border, construction of two-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Sujalpur bypass on NH-752C, NH-552 (extended ) Construction of two-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Ater and Bhind bypass, construction of two-lane (with paved shoulder) road of Goras to Shyampur road of NH-552 (extended), NH-552 (Extended) will be laid.
Construction of two-lane with paved shoulder road from Dahod (Gujarat border) to Ambua section of NH-56, two-lane road construction from NH-347A Multai to Madhya Pradesh/Maharashtra border.
