Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare (Independent Charge) Ramkhelawan Patel has said that the state will become strong if women are financially empowered. Keeping this in mind, the state government has prepared schemes in the interests of women. An amount of Rs 1000 per month is being deposited in the bank accounts of eligible women in the state under Ladli Bahna Yojana.
Patel was addressing the Vikas Parv programme at Village Panchayat Amua Tola under Ram Nagar development block in Satna district on Sunday. He also performed bhoomi-pujan and dedication of the access roads in villages Sulkhama, Bada Itma, Mirgouti, Mahuha Tola at a cost of Rs. 5 crore.
Patel interacted with the villagers and after listening to their problems, gave instructions to the officials of the concerned department to resolve them.
