Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said the State government is going to give e-voucher instead of cash to purchase cycle to the school students both girls and boys.
Similarly for farmers under various welfare schemes the e-voucher will be given instead of money, he said.
He said the reason to introduce the e-voucher was taken to ensure that the amount is spent by the beneficiary for purpose it is given.
Chouhan said when some students were asked why they do not have cycle despite the government transferred money in their bank account, the students told the parents spent the money on some other work.
He was speaking at the conclave held at Bhopal.
The State government has opened CM Rise schools is a new scheme to upgrade the education in the state by introducing smart classes, library, well equipped laboratory, he said.
The CM Rise is opened at a central place of 25 villages from where the students will come to school and go to home by bus as road connectivity to villages is available, he said.
