Madhya Pradesh Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Premsingh Patel distributed state-level awards to cow-herders under Mukhyamantri Pashupalan Vikas Yojana on Sunday at Bhima Nayak Prerna Kendra of village Dhababawdi in Barwani district.
Minister Patel gave the first prize of Rs. 2 lakhs to the cow-herder Shri Ashish Sharma, a resident of Shajapur, for an average of 14.760 liters of milk per day given by the Malvi breed cow, in the competition of cows of the original cow breeds of the state, second prize of one lakh rupees to cow herder Ghanshyam Prajapat, resident of Bandarbela, Badnagar,for 12.882 liter milk given by the Malvi breed cow and third prize of Rs. 50 thousand along with prizes, certificates and mementos was given to Deepak Sharma, resident of Patlawad, Dharampuri, for 11.96 liter average daily milk given by Nimari breed of cow. Director Animal Husbandry and Dairy Dr. R.K. Mehiya was also present.
Minister Patel awarded Rs 2 lakh to cow-herder Shri Rajmani Yadav, a resident of Nayagaon district Chhatarpur, for production of an average of 25.21 liters of milk per day by Gir breed cow in the competition of Indian advanced breed milch cows, second prize of one lakh rupees to cow rearerShri Neelu Murari Dewan of Gwaltoli district Neemuch for production ofaverage 22.45 liters of milk per day and third prize of Rs 50,000 with certificate and memento was awarded to cow rearer Ravendra Kumar Pandey, resident of Kathura Bedhan district Singrauli, for production of an average of 20.99 liters of milk per day by Sahiwal breed cow.
Animal Husbandry Minister Patel honored the progressive farmers of Barwani district Sarvshri Jagdish, Sanjay Bhai, Annu Mehta, Mahendra Goswami, Santosh Patidar, Hitendra Patidar and Radheshyam Dhangar by giving them shawl-shrifal.
He also honoured the officers and employees of the Animal Husbandry Department for doing excellent work. Public representatives, administrative officers, senior officers of the Animal Husbandry Department and a large number of cattle herders were present in the programme.
