Deputy Commissioner Co-operative District Satna K. Patankar has been suspended with immediate effect in connection with alleged irregular appointments and approvals for promotions.
In the suspension order issued by the Co-operative Department, during suspension, the headquarters of Patankar will be the office of Commissioner Co-operatives and Registrar Co-operative Societies. Co-operative Minister Dr. Arvind Singh Bhadauria has said that those who indulge in irregularities in the department will not be spared.
Deputy Commissioner Co-operative Patankar who is currently posted in Satna district, allegedly passed and approved proposals for irregular appointments and promotions of vendors/assistant committee managers in 5 primary credit co-operative institutions affiliated to the District Co-operative Central Bank when he was posted in Chhatarpur district earlier.
Patankar violated the instructions issued by the Commissioner Co-operative in the years 2010 and 2011 in approval of promotion and salary withdrawal from Assistant Manager to the post of Manager in Primary Credit Co-operative Society Maryadit Pipat Bijawar, Gulganj, Moukhera of Chhatarpur district.
